Week 20 January 25-29
Spelling Words: This week we are studying the ways to spell the final long e sounds in a word. Two syllable words usually use the spelling of either y or ey. The less commmon is the spelling ie. Monday night's homework is to write 6 silly sentences using as many spelling words as you can.

Reading: We are reading the wonderful story Marven of the Great North Woods. It's a lively tale of a young boy adjusting to life in an isolated lumber camp. Vocabulary includes bunkhouse, cords (of wood), immense, landscape, jumberjacks, snowshoes, timber, and woodsman.
