Week 5 September 20-24

Spelling Words - This week's words focus on the short u sound, and then the long u sound. Students need to learn the different spelling patterns for long u: u_e, _ue, or ew.

Homework for Monday Night - Write the words in alphabetical order, neatly. Students may use a spreadsheet to alphabetize.

Extra Credit - Make a booklet illustrating the meanings of the spelling words. 

Back to School Night - Come to Back to School  Night on Thursday, September 30, at 6pm.

Sneak Peak at next week's words - Next week is all about homophones. This means the words sound alike, but have different spellings and meanings. Students need to learn all the meanings of the words, plus be able to spell them correctly.
