Spelling: This week is all about vowel sounds before the letter r. There are many spelling patterns: ar,air, eir. ear, and ar. Yes, ar is listed twice because it has two sounds. Study carefully.

Flex Time:JIS students go through a academic rotation after lunch on Monday through Friday. During this time students go to different classrooms to be extended in different curriculum areas depending on the grade and need. We have found this as an excellent way to stregnth many academic areas.
Book Fair: The book fair is this week. It is located in Room 101. Thank you to all the parent volunteers that are making it possible.
