Monday's Homework: Please alphabetize your spelling words. Remember to spell them correctly and write neatly.

Reading - this week we are finishing up the story "Tomas and the Library Lady". The strategy focus was sequence of events; what happened first, second, next. We will be starting the story "Tanya's Reunion" and focusing on evaluating what we read, what it was about, why we liked/disliked it.

Grammar/Mechanics of Writing - We are learning about singular and plural nouns, run-on sentences, and writing more complex sentences which we call powerful sentences.

Splash Lab - This is a special hands-on science lab that comes to the school just for the 4th graders. Students learn about the effects of water pollution.
