This Friday the Ocotilla Wells Community Outreach Program will be presenting a special program about the animals of Ocotilla Wells State Vehicular Recreation Area. This goes along with the 4th grade Social Studies Standards.

Math: Essential understanding this week focuses on that the same fractional amount can be represented by an infinite set of different but equivalent fractions. Equivalent fractions are found by multiplying or dividing the numerator and denominator by the same nonzero number.
Word Work: VCCV pattern -Words with this pattern are often divided into syllables between the two consonants. Consonant clusters – may be two or three consonants and the sounds are blended together ie. str, spr, cl sw, and fr. Connotation – negative or positive.
Spelling words: bottom, picture, other, attend, capture, common, danger, afraid, borrow, office, arrow, suppose, escape, whether, pillow, dinner, thirty, degree, allow, corner.
Test will be February 29.
Grammar: Comparing with adjectives – using -er, and -est. With long adjectives use more, and use most to compare three or more nouns.
Writing: Writing proper paragraphs, and using good/better/best, and bad/worse/worst.
